Hi there Desi Brides,
I hope you have enjoyed this glorious sunny weekend!
I have also taken some down time this weekend as April was a incredibly busy month for me with the start of my Spring weddings which I had planned and coordinated.
Today on the blog I wanted to share Rob and Meera’s beautiful fusion wedding which I both planned and coordinated at a stunning barn called Tewin Bury Farm Hotel.
Rob and Meera came to me back in October on a hunt for a Asian wedding planner. They had been trying to plan their wedding for months but weren’t having much luck as they both lead very busy social lives and also had demanding careers in London. They wanted a Asian wedding planner that could plan their wedding to their minimalistic style but also could offer on the day Asian wedding coordination as the venue they had selected was a dry hire only. What this meant was they had simply just hired out the venue and there wouldn’t actually be any staff from the wedding venue managing and coordinating. They knew it was imperative to have a wedding planner and coordinator there to assist and oversee the set up in the morning as well as manage the multiple room turnarounds throughout the day.
They opted for my full wedding planning service and I was hired to plan everything from start to finish. We had a mere 5 months to plan the wedding and with Christmas, my Dubai and Australia trips as well as their India trip we knew time was limited!
But in the world of Desi Bride Dreams Wedding Planning I believe that everything is possible and of course we managed to plan everything successfully within the 5 months.
The wedding day ran fantastically well and all of the guests partied till early hours of the morning!
Meera opted for ivory and blush pink florals which completed the gorgeous bridesmaids dresses.
Rob got ready at the beautiful venue along with the ushers and the weather was always at the forefront of our minds as we wanted to host the canapes outside. However luck was on our side that day and it turned out to be a glorious Spring day.
Rob and Meera wanted minimalistic decor as they didn’t want to detract anything from the beautiful venue. They opted for pure white chair covers with ice white sashes which were beautifully done by Maharani Decor.
The guests were treated to a mouthwatering fusion menu by Five Rivers which consisted of a twist of Indian alongide western dishes.
DJ Subz rocked the party till early hours of the morning with guests wanting more songs.
Having a Asian wedding planner really took the pressure off Rob and Meera and Meera throughout the planning process and Meera even admitted that she never had to show her “bridezilla” traits as I had everything under control! Wedding planning isn’t just about finding the right suppliers – its so much more than that. Its negotiating contracts, checking contracts, searching and booking reputable and reliable suppliers and also ensuring that everything runs smoothly from beginning to end on the wedding day. A great wedding planner will shield you from so much stress and that’s the reason why so many couples and turning to wedding planners to assist and facilitate their dream day.
