Hi there Desi Brides.
WOW its been a while since I blogged! The truth is that the hectic wedding season took over during the summer and now I have been busy planning for lovely 2017 brides as well as putting together the final touches for my November brides. But don’t worry there is a lot more blog posts coming your way in the next few weeks and months as wedding season has started to wind down.
So last month I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the beautiful Rushton Hall. From time to time as a wedding blogger I am invited for press stays to stay over at magnificent venues and Rushton Hall was no exception.
Rushton Hall Hotel is a beautiful Grade I Listed hotel in Northamptonshire boasting the counties only 3 Rosette Restaurant and luxury Spa, needless to say I was very excited for this press stay!
I drove up the long drive way and instantly my breath was taken away as I laid my eyes on this stunning building which looks like a castle.
As soon as I checked in into Rushton Hall it definitely had a relaxing vibe and I instantly felt disconnected from the real world which shows what a secluded and relaxing destination it really is. It is a sanctuary in itself to unwind in the beautiful spa facilities, which is surrounded by 25 acres of grounds with a lake and ancient trees.
This magnificent 16th century building is steeped in history. Francis Tresham (a previous owner) and his involvement in the Gunpowder plot, Charles Dickens believed to have visited it many times. As soon as you arrive at Rushton Hall you feel special and I was very warmly welcomed.
Once I checked in I unwinded in the gorgeous spa which had a swimming pool, indoor and outdoor spa pools, steam room, sauna and fitness suite! I felt completely refreshed which was exactly what I needed after a hectic wedding season.
Soon after my spa session I got ready for dinner. I had pre dinner drinks in the Great Hall which was utterly stunning.
After pre dinner drinks I dined at the very impressive Tresham restaurant. As one the most sought after places to eat within Kettering, their Head Chef, Adrian Coulthard and his team are dedicated to serving food that is not only inspirational but is of a consistently high quality and that was very evident as our dinner dishes were mouth watering, delicious and presented beautifully. This attention to detail and passion for fine food means that the restaurant was awarded 3 Rosettes and remains the only restaurant in Northamptonshire to hold this accolade.
Did you know that Rushton Hall also offers a stunning location for weddings? Rushton Hall will also be opening its doors to the Orangery in 2017.
The really exciting part of the opening of the Orangery is that its first of its kind within the Midlands. Rushton Hall’s new Orangery will be the perfect venue for Asian weddings and it will be able to cater for up to 300 guests. To keep in style with the Grade I listed building, architects specialising in listed buildings helped with the design and style. With many stages of construction, the luxury hotel is using stone to ensure that the Orangery fits with the look and feel of the rest of the beautiful historic stately home.
For any Asian couple choosing to get married at Rushton Hall it will be a stunning location as it boasts beautiful grounds and luxurious on site accommodation.
Located in Northamptonshire between the M1 and the A1 near Kettering and Corby, on the Leicestershire border, Rushton Hall offers great transport links for yourself and your guests if you are travelling within the Midlands or of course from London.
