So I’m not fat at all but I do want to have that “Dream Figure” for my big day.
Let’s talk about the details. Currently I am a very petite 5 ft 1 inches and hey don’t knock my height as I’m currently the same height as KK, KK who I hear you ask? Kim Kardashian silly! I’m currently a size 8 and for my engagement I dropped 5 inches overall, so 3 inches off my waist and 1 inch off my arm and 1 inch off my legs. It felt good when I went for my final dress fitting in Birmingham and the lady in the boutique was like OMG you’ve lost loads of weight – Hell YESSSSS!
So how did I do it? I hired a personal trainer, and I have been training with them on and off for the past two years and these people get results. But what they ask for in return is that you are commited and do the training and eat well. For the weeks leading up to my engagement I was training 4-5 times a week and having one cheat meal a week and god did it work, the fat came flying off. Amaze right?
Yes quite amazing. But since the engagement (7 weeks ago) I have pretty much maintained my weight and I have been naughty and perhaps a little over indulgent and in the back of my mind I’m thinking oh crap I go to India in a few months time and I NEED I mean NEED to be my perfect figure by February because I’m getting my wedding lengha made out there! So yeah that gives me all in all a total of 3 months – eeeeeeeeeeks!
To be honest I’m panicking. I don’t want to be rocking up to my dream day not feeling comfortable in my own skin. I need to do something and I need to do it fast! Not to mention the other wedding planning stuff that needs to get done as well as having a full time job and of course my lovely little blog. Things are getting hectic to say the very least.
But this week it’s all changed. I’m doing a strip down. A what I hear you say. A strip down…
Training intensively over 6 weeks 5-6 times a week
NO CHEAT MEALS YES NO CHEATS! Holy crap shit is getting real.
So I have pretty much blocked out my diary for the next 6 weeks and I won’t be having any cheats, I’ll be doing cardio and training intensively. Shit really is getting real. By the end of the 6 weeks the aim is to lose a good few inches off the waist. Very high target I know but I am ready to do this baby! I’m going to be chasing that dream figure and I’m going to do it!
And if your thinking well no cheat for 6 weeks is easy peasy then think again. My food isn’t allowed any salt in it and I have to be uber strict like having no milk in my tea and I’m not even allowed to have instant coffee!
So who’s going to get me there? My lovely personal training Jazmin. This women is a mean machine, kick ass personal trainer and she practices what she preaches and man has she got an amazing body. I’ll be training with her 2-3 times a week and she will be kicking my butt into gear and inspiring me on this mental training journey. I won’t say too much about where she works because I want you guys to see the results first but she is a little gem. Check her out!
Week 1 is nearly up and I’m feeling really positive. The biggest thing I have missed is my instant coffee and the caffeine withdrawal headaches have been really painful but I can see my body shape is changing so I don’t really care about the coffee now #winning
So I’m setting the bar high all in aid of getting my dreamy figure for my big day.
